Lessons Policy
Welcome to SoundVillage Atlanta’s private lesson program. Our lessons are designed to support consistent growth, creativity, and musical development in a focused and supportive environment. By enrolling in lessons, students agree to the following policies.
Scheduling & Lesson Structure

Lessons are scheduled in advance based on availability.

Standard lesson formats:

30-minute private lessons

60-minute private lessons

Students enrolled in monthly plans will receive a set number of lessons per month (typically one per week).

Lesson times are reserved specifically for each student.
Payments & Membership Plans

Lessons must be paid in advance to confirm scheduling.

Monthly lesson plans are billed upfront and reserve recurring time slots.

Payments are non-refundable once a lesson or plan has been scheduled.
Rescheduling & Cancellations

Students must provide at least 24 hours notice to reschedule a lesson.

Missed lessons or late cancellations (less than 24 hours) will not be refunded or rescheduled.

Rescheduled lessons are subject to availability.

SoundVillage will make reasonable efforts to accommodate reschedules when possible.
Lesson Time & Late Policy

Lessons begin at the scheduled time.

Late arrival will result in a shortened lesson.
-
Lessons will end at the scheduled time regardless of arrival time.

Additional time is not guaranteed and must be scheduled separately.
Practice & Progress Expectations

Lessons are designed to guide growth — progress depends on consistent practice outside of lessons.

Students are expected to:

Practice assigned material

Bring necessary instruments/materials

Be mentally present and engaged

SoundVillage provides direction, structure, and feedback — results are a shared responsibility.
Lesson Environment & Conduct

Lessons are conducted in a focused, respectful, and creative environment.

Students are expected to maintain professionalism and respect for the space.

Disruptive or unproductive behavior may result in termination of the lesson without refund.
Parents & Guests (if applicable)

Parents or guardians may attend lessons if appropriate.

Additional guests are limited to maintain a focused learning environment.
Materials & Resources

Lesson materials may include:

Exercises
-
Practice tracks
-
Written notes or concepts
-

Some materials may be provided digitally.

Additional resources or products may be offered separately.
Instructor Availability & Substitution

In the rare case of instructor unavailability, lessons may be:

Rescheduled, or
-
Substituted with another qualified instructor (if applicable)

Refund Policy

All lesson payments and packages are non-refundable.

Unused lessons within a monthly plan do not roll over unless otherwise stated.
Liability

Students are responsible for their personal instruments and belongings.

SoundVillage is not liable for lost, stolen, or damaged items.
Policy Agreement
By booking or enrolling in lessons with SoundVillage Atlanta, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agreed to these policies.
